Ulyanovsk Region has turned to be in the first group in the rating of forest management among the federal subjects of Russia.
      
      This year 78 regions of Russian have taken part in the independent rating of the World Wildlife Fund. It was made with the assistance of the National Rating Agency and support of Russian Forestry Agency. Ulyanovsk Region has been registered in Group A with high level of forest management. Along with the Ulyanovsk Region, Penza Region, Udmurtia, and Tatarstan have also been included.
      
      The World Wildlife Fund points out that the rating is an independent non-departmental assessment of forest management.
