Top-10 Russian sportspeople for 2011 have been announced by the Russian Federation of Sports Journalist, which founded the "Silver Doe" award. All the award's laureates were this year's winners in their sports disciplines.
There are the list of the best Russian sportsmen 2011.
- Alexei Ashapatov, Paralympian, competes in throwing events. He won two gold medals at the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing.
- Anastasia Zuyeva, an Olympic swimmer, set an Olympic 100 m backstroke record at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing.
- Natalia Ishchenko, a synchronized swimmer, won six gold medals in team and solo events at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing.
- Yevgeniya Kanayeva, a rhythmic gymnast and Olympic champion, became three-times World Champion at the 2011 World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship.
- Viktoria Komova, an artistic gymnast, became the 2010 All-Around Youth Olympic Games Champion and the 2011 World Uneven Bars Champion.
- Maxim Mikhailov, a volleyball player, won the bronze medal at the Club World Championship in Qatar, was voted the best forward of the European Championship.
- Maria Savinova, a long-distance runner, won the gold medal at the 2010 European Championships in Barcelona, was named European woman-athlete of the year.
- Ivan Skobrev, a speed skater, won the bronze medal in the 5,000 m and the silver medal in the 10,000m at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. He is currently the reigning European and World All Round Champion.
- Yekaterina Tudegesheva, a professional snowboardist, holds the title of the World Cup winner.
- Anna Chicherova, a high jumper, won the gold medal at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics.
According to the award's jury, the best Russian team 2011 was Russian beach soccer team, which became the best in the final of the World Cup in Ravenna.
Viktor Chegin was named the best coach (Russian race walking team).
