Fyodor Emelianenko Gives New Year Gifts to His Russian Fans (video)

Russian fighter Fyodor Emelianenko has given a great New Year present to all Russian sports lovers by making a knockout win over Japanese Satoshi Ishii in the main event of the ÌÌÀ Dream: New Year 2011 in Tokyo, on December 31.

The duel lasted for less than two minutes. Fyodor was able to avoid dangerous attempts to start wrestling of Ishii, a 2008 Olympic champion in Judo. Instead of this, he broke down Ishii's stand-up defense and delivered three powerful punches to his opponent’s head with 2 minutes 27 seconds remaining in the first round. Ishii collapsed in the ring and then was able to leave the arena only with the help of doctors.

It’s was Fyodor’s second win a row after a three-match losing streak, which he finished  by beating Jeff Monson of the US in a unanimous decision over the weekend in Moscow.
