Inflation in Russia Made up 6.1%

In 2011 inflation growth made up 6.1% in Russia, what has become the country’s historical minimum, says the

Federal State Statistic Service.

In December 2011 the level of inflation made up 0.4 %. The usual jump in price, caused by customers’ activity and high companies’ charges in the end of the year, was avoided.

The last inflation record was set in 2009 and 2010, when prices grew 8.8%.

Good harvest and the world economic crises stimulated the fall of inflation. These factors hold back high level of consumption.
