Archeology Monuments of 10th-13th Centuries Verge on Ruining in Tver Region

Deforestation around village Novoe of Rameshkovsky District (Tver Region) has brought about damage to tumuli Kidomlya-2 and 3.
These barrows are archeology monuments of the 10th-13th centuries. Archeologists have found there ornaments, pottery, stone and iron tools and silver coins of the 10th century.
Now, as a result of infringements in works on clearing lands of agricultural purpose from overgrowing with trees and bushes, tumuli of Kidomlya which are objects of historical and cultural heritage of the federal value, have been destroyed almost completely.
On the place of works felling residues, heaps of woodchips and branches were piled over the barrows, forming a real dump and creating the threat of fire outbreak.
Management of Rosselkhoznadzor of the Tver and Pskov Regions has launched a criminal case on littering agricultural purpose earths.
