The first snow town in Russia will be built in Moscow; everything – starting with a hotel and finishing with a prison and a fitness center – will be built of ice and snow.

Building of the snow town was launched yesterday and will be completed on January 10.

The unusual town will appear in the Sokolniki Park in the framework of the Festival of Snow Architecture, which started on January, 5th. 20 teams of architects and 20 sculptors will take part in the festival. 500 ice blocks, a thousand cubic meters of snow and the area of 2.5 thousand sq. m. have been prepared for the future wonder town.

As organizers of the festival have informed, an entire snow town providing various sorts of leisure activities and even accommodation will be created in Sokolniki Park.
