Monument to a newly-married couple will be opened in Kolchuginsky District of the Vladimir Region on St. Valentine’s Day, February, 14th.
      
      The sculptural composition made of granite depicts a groom holding a bride in his arms. The author of the monument is the sculptor Vyacheslav Belchuk, a dweller of Kolchugino.
      
      By the way, about five years ago one of women’s organizations of Vladimir town suggested creating a monument ... to “the unknown father”! They even found a place for the sculpture - the yard of a local maternity hospital.
      
      “More than 15 percent of women give birth while single - initiators of the project explain. All other women pose for happy family photos with their husbands and babies, whereas single mothers have no partner to take a picture with”.
