Russian student Lev Arzamassky won a gold medal at the World Physics Olympiad, which was held in Lombok, Indonesia. The event brought together 109 physicists, including four from Russia.
Lev Arzamassky is a graduate of the Kaliningrad lyceum ¹23 and the world's only winner of four gold medals in the most prestigious international physics competitions.
In 2009 he won gold at the 6th International Junior Science Olympiad, in 2011 he received the first prize at the 12th Asian Physics Olympiad and the highest award at the 42nd International Physics Olympiad in Thailand.
As a gold medalist of the last two Olympics the student was provided with free transportation to Indonesia, accommodation and a thousand dollars for personal expenses.
