Dirtiest and Purest Regions of Russia Announced

The public organization Green Patrol has summed up ecological results of the year 2011.
      The overall ecological rating of subjects of the Russian Federation (published since 2008), and the List of 100 Major Pollutants of Russia has been presented to journalists.
      The top ten outsiders of the ecological rating include the Nizhniy Novgorod Region, Sverdlovsk Region, Moscow Region, Chelyabinsk Region, Tula Region, Kalmykia Republic and the North Ossetia, Krasnoyarsk Region, Leningrad Region and Orenburg Region.
      The most environmentally safe areas according to 2011 results are the Tambov Region, the Belgorod Region, Altai Republic, Altai Territory, the Pskov Region, Kursk Region, the Amur Region, Republic of Buryatiya and the Magadan Region.
