Investigative authorities have issued a ruling to stop the criminal prosecution of Oleg Vorotnikov and Leonid Nikolayev for hooliganism, the official site of the art group "Voina" reports.
Activists of the art group "Voina" Oleg Vorotnikov and Leonid Nikolayev were arrested in November last year for the action “Palace Take-Over” in the course of which the artists turned upside down a police car near to the Mikhailovsky Palace in Petersburg.
A criminal case under article 213 of the Criminal Code of Russia, which sanctions up to five years of imprisonment, was launched against them.
Art group "Voina" has become famous for its radical actions and performances, and its members were repeatedly called to administrative account for their actions.
