Immortal Bacteria Found in Yakutia

A strange 3-million-year-old bacillus has been found in permafrost of Mammoth Mountain in Yakutia. This microorganism started to successfully share at the temperature of +5°C.

Siberian scientists vaccinated mice with Baccillius F and it has increased their life expectancy. It was confirmed that the injection had a positive impact on some indicators of quality of life of old animals. First of all, this concerns the immunity and the rate of its activation.

Scientists suppose that ancient bacteria has a special mechanism of preserving the viability, which allowed it to survive in the thickness of the dead rocks.

The obtained experimental results require further research.
