The first energy-saving many-storeyed house in Russia will be built in Ufa (Bashkiria) in 2012.
It is going to be a 9-storeyed or 12-storeyed building, where the most state-of-the-art equipment will be installed.
If the building and its further maintenance proves to be successful and shows high efficiency of the project, an entire energy-effective quarter will start to be built in Ufa.
Such type of housing in the megacity will provide tangible economy of resources, reduce maintenance cost by 20-30 percent and so will be beneficial to all: both city authorities, and house tenants, who will have to pay much less for municipal services.
