Premiere of the film about the origin of rock in the USSR under the title TimeMachine. The Birth of an Epoch will take place in the House of Cinema, Moscow, on January, 28th.
      
      The film director Maxim Kapitanovsky has mixed feature and documentary genres in his movie based on the history of the legendary rock band Mashina Vremeni (Time Machine). A writer and musician, Kapitanovsky joined the band twice: in the early 1970s he played drums in the beginning band, and from 1983 to 1994 was the sound producer of the already popular Mashina. Throughout the last three years he appeared with his camera at almost all the band’s Moscow concerts, filming both on stage and backstage.
      
      However, according to the film director, “this film is not a benefit performance of Mashina Vremeni, but just an example telling about formation and development of rock music in the Soviet Union”.
