$800 Million To be Invested in Milk Production in Russia

A foreign investor may invest $800 million into milk production and processing in Russia. The deal may be announced next week.

One of the largest producers of raw milk Russian Milk Company (Rusmilk) is going to announce an investment project, which may become the largest in the branch. The New Zealand Fonterra, the largest player in the milk production and processing world market, is called as a potential partner by mass media. Fonterra has already studied the opportunity to enter Russian market twice for the last ten year, but they were not success.

Rusmoloko was established in 2007 by a businessman Naum Babaev. The company owns nine milk farms in Penza Region.
