Kournikova Gallery (Nashi khudozhniki) will open the exhibition of the outstanding non-conformist artist Alexander Kharitonov on February, 6th.
Alexander Kharitonov (1931 - 1993) is a prominent Russian artist-philosopher, one of the most well-known and original nonconformists of the 1960s. The retrospective exhibition includes about 80 paintings and drawings, mostly from private Moscow collections, and embraces all stages of the artist’s creative career. The opening of the exhibition is timed to the anniversary of the artist’s death.
Alexander Kharitonov can be called a romanticist, a fairy tale teller, the preacher of kindness, and a follower of traditions of the Orthodox art.
The exhibition will run till March, 25th.
