A new draft bill on the governmental funding of education in private schools and kindergartens will be discussed in the Russian State Duma. The document was approved in the first reading November 17.
The new amendments provide the allocation of public funds for educational programs in private schools and kindergartens.
The law will come into force July 1, 2012 after being approved by the Duma's committee.
Russian government consider that the law will make education more accessible as well as will improve the quality of educational services due to the competitive factor.
The members of the Duma's committee are also planning to work on a draft bill on e-learning. It will be discussed in the second reading in February. The supposed law introduces the concept of e-learning and regulates the use of such education in various programs.
