Another Pushkin Museum will soon appear in Moscow; however, it is dedicated not to Alexander Sergeyevich, but to Vasily Lvovich – the uncle of the famous poet.
Restorers have just finished examining the house of the poet Vasily Lvovich Pushkin in Old Basmannaya Street and they promise that in a year the house will be opened for visitors.
It is already known how the restoration will be carried out. The house will not be taken into logs, but only some wooden fragments will be replaced. Former interior and atmosphere of that time, when writers used to get together at Vasily Pushkin’s place, will be recreated.
The exposition will be dedicated to the uncle and his nephew. It is known that Vasily Pushkin had a serious impact on the developing taste of little Alexander Pushkin and insisted on his studies in the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum.
The Pushkin State Museum has unique autographs of Vasily Pushkin, two portraits and the only book published during his lifetime with a presentation inscription.
