Unique Nature Sanctuary in Novgorod Region may be Build up with Cottages

The story of attempting upon the nature sanctuary Ilmensky Glint one of the most valuable nature sanctuaries of the Novgorod Region - runs on.

Plowing up, excavation of rocky grounds and building capital construction is forbidden in the area of Ilmensky Glint. However, since there is no interdiction for granting these ground areas in property, in the 1990s land property certificates were issued and later the sites were sold to private owners.

In December last year thanks to addressing the National Environmental Protection Committee and Office of Public Prosecutor of the Novgorod Region the building started in 2011 on the territory of Ilmensky Glint was stopped. However, in January the site owner A. V. Bogdanov renewed building works.
