According to the words of Sergey Shpilko, the head of Moscow Committee on tourism and hotel industry, Russian capital is mostly visited by retirees.
"The majority of tourists are people of retirement age. If we talk about countries, Germany takes the first place, China is the second, followed by Finland, the USA, France, Italy and the UK" — said Mr. Shpilko.
He noted that, unfortunately, the capital is not often visited by young people, though Moscow is now full of cheap hotels and hostels. It is explained by the fact that young people don't like the lack of cheap tickets and a complicated procedure of getting visa.
Nevertheless, he said that the youth tourism program is now developing in the country, which includes an attractive night tours around Moscow.
