Stalingrad to Become the first IMAX Russian Movie

The film Stalingrad by director Feodor Bondarchuk will become the first Russian film in IMAX format.

“Stalingrad is a historical film, and it is very important for us to create the presence effect, so that the viewer could feel he is sitting right there, in the entrenchment. The stereoscopic movie, IMAX format, suits this purpose in the optimal way” - the film director said.

In the first two weeks after general release the film will be featured in IMAX halls only, and it is an innovation for the Russian film service. By means of this practice the film director also hopes to protect the movie from piracy distribution.
