The Oscar-winning David Seidler, who wrote the scenario for Tom Hooper’s The King's Speech, will write a modernized version of The Queen of Spades for Pavel Lungin’s film.
      
      The producer of project Fyodor Bondarchuk has informed about it. It is known that the film will be titled The Queen of Spades, but the details of the plot are still kept secret. According to Bondarchuk, they have only part of the assets necessary for the film, and the producer is now looking for the remaining part of finances. Besides, as he says, the film is already enjoying great international interest: preselling is already taking place at the Berlin film market.
      
      Bondarchuk has also explained that neither the budget estimate, nor terms of work on the film have been finalized yet, since the scenario is not completed and it is still possible that some more international star may appear in the project.
