Restoration of an ancient ship found near the banks of Oka River is being completed in the workshop for restoration of archaeological wood of the Novgorod Museum Reserve.

The unique find is about seven meters long and around a thousand years old. The boat was delivered to Novgorod from Tula. After the restoration the rarity will be displayed in the museum-reserve.

Another gigantic wooden construction – the framework of an old-Russian jail – is almost ready for being exhibited. This framework consists of 52 beams and is the pride of archaeologists and restorers that managed to unearth and preserve the unique find.
