Monument to Victims of Political Repressions to be Set up in Samara

A few new monuments will appear in Samara this year. Thus, a monument to victims of political repressions will appear in Gagarin Park.
      According to the Department for Culture, Sports and the Youth of the city administration, setting up the monument will require 6.6 million roubles from the city budget.
      It is a reminder that legendary film characters Red Army soldier Fyodor Sukhov from White Sun of the Desert and Father Fyodor from 12 Chairs will also be set in stone in Samara. Besides, a sculptural composition of a character from Eldar Ryazanovs films is planned to be set up.
