The Museum of the Patriotic War of 1812 (a branch of the State Historical Museum) will appear in Moscow in the beginning of September. The opening of the museum is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812.

      The exposition will include objects collected in funds of the State Historical Museum for celebration of the 100th anniversary of the War of 1812: weapons, personal belongings of soldiers and officers, paintings and unique documents. Private collections will be probably presented in the new museum too. 

      The Museum of the Patriotic War of 1812 will be located in the courtyard of the Lenin Museum, another branch of the State Historical Museum. The exhibition will take a two-level pavilion, covered with a transparent roof. About 400 million rubles has been allocated for its construction.
