Five Modern Beaches to Appear in Pskov Region

The authorities of the Pskov region have decided to create five modern well-equipped beaches with recreation areas for tourists.

New attractions will appear in the Pechorsky district (Lake Ragozno), in the Palkinsky district (Lake Smolinskoe), in the Pytalovsky district (the river Utroya), in the Pskov district (the river Cheryokha), in the Ostrovsky district (the river Velikaya and Gorokhovoe Lake).

All five districts are in close proximity to the border with the Baltic states, from which foreign tourists are expected to come to see new beaches.

More than 1.5 million euros will be spent for the development of infrastructure, and for advertising.

The project is planned to be implemented during two years, however, playgrounds, sports equipment, swings, arbours and changing rooms will appear on the local beaches by the end of summer.

The authorities promise to provide a convenient access to the recreation areas.
