Pyotr Bagration Monument to be Set Up in Petersburg

Monument to the hero of Patriotic War of 1812 Pyotr Bagration will be set up in Petersburg by September, 7th, the day of the 200th anniversary of the Borodino Battle.
      The author of the monument is sculptor Jan Neiman. The monument to Pyotr Bagration Lion of the Russian army - is expected to be set up in the eastern part of the former Semenovsky parade-ground next to the Theatre of Young Spectators. Bagration was the chief of life guards of the Semenovsky Regiment.
      A complete list of monuments and memorable places in the city, connected with the celebrations of the 200th anniversary of the Victory in Patriotic War of 1812 will be made in Petersburg. The list will reflect their modern condition and recommendations regarding their preservation.
