Imperial Chambers to be Restored in Honor of the 400th Anniversary of the Romanovs Dynasty

Imperial chambers of the Romanovs family in Moscow will be restored by 2013 for the anniversary of the dynasty’s rule, which lasted for 400 years.

It will be a partial restoration, because the building is in rather a good condition.

Along with repair work in the imperial chambers the furniture will be shifted. As a result, all comers will see the way of life of the noble families in the 16th-17th centuries.

The imperial manor became a museum in 1857. At the same time a legend appeared saying theat the future tsar of Russia had been born there. Since 1932 it has been a branch of the State History Museum.
