Imperial chambers of the Romanovs family in Moscow will be restored by 2013 for the anniversary of the dynasty’s rule, which lasted for 400 years.
It will be a partial restoration, because the building is in rather a good condition.
Along with repair work in the imperial chambers the furniture will be shifted. As a result, all comers will see the way of life of the noble families in the 16th-17th centuries.
The imperial manor became a museum in 1857. At the same time a legend appeared saying theat the future tsar of Russia had been born there. Since 1932 it has been a branch of the State History Museum.
