Monument to Anatoli Papanov to Appear in Vyazma

Monument to actor Anatoli Papanov will be set up in 2012 in the city of Vyazma of the Smolensk Region.
      
      By now the applications for the moment project have been submitted; altogether 14 participants from Moscow and Smolensk suggested 18 projects.
      
      The competition for the monument to Anatoli Papanov was declared in November, 2011. The contestants had two primary goals: on the one hand, to reflect Papanov's role in the history of Russian theater and cinema, and on the other, to fit it harmoniously into the city.
      
      The sculpture composition will be set up in the city center by the actors 90th anniversary to be celebrated on October, 31st this year.
