Russian Beauty 2012 is Chosen

18-year-old student from the town of Safonovo, Smolensk region, has been crowned Miss Russia.

      Elizaveta Golovanova won a tiara worth $1 million – the most valuable in any beauty pageant anywhere in the world. She also received a $100,000 grant, enabling her to study at any college on planet.

      Elizaveta now has an opportunity to be Russia's beauty ambassador at international beauty pageants, such as Miss World and Miss Universe. Her another important duty is to busy herself with charity work and to take part in different social programmes.

      The beauty contest took place on the 3rd of March in Moscow. On the whole, there were 50 girls from different corners of the country struggling for the Miss Russia title.

      Kristina Gontar from the town of Zheleznodorzhny, Moscow region, was named the First Vice Miss, and Alyona Shishkova from Tyumen was named the Second Vice Miss.
