New Museum of Weapon Opens in Tula

In Tula the State Museum of Weapon that was under construction for 12 years has been opened in Tula.

The museum was earlier located in the former cathedral at the territory of the Tula Kremlin. Its exhibition area made only a thousand square meters. Now the large-scale museum exposition with the use of state-of-the-art technologies will be held on the 3rd floor and will occupy the area of 5 thousand square meters. Whereas the museum is housing a temporary exhibition, a permanent exposition is planned to be displayed within 1.5 years. It will be possible to hold symposiums and conferences in the new building.
The Tula Museum of Weapon is one of the oldest museums of Russia; its collection has developed since 1724.
