The Russian Museum has opened the exhibition of paintings and drawings by Nicolai Fechin (1881-1955), dedicated to the 130th anniversary since the birth of the well-known Russian-American artist.
The exposition in the Russian Museum is designed in the chronological order and reflects the entire artistic career of Nicolai Fechin. More than 80 works by him have been collected in several halls of the museum. They have been brought to Petersburg from private collections, galleries and museums of Russia and the USA.
It is a rare occasion that the creative heritage of Nicolai Fechin is gathered in an integral exposition. His last large exhibition took place in the 1970s. Then it visited Moscow, Petersburg and several cities of America. After the Russian Museum the exhibition of Nicolai Fechin's works will go to the Moscow Tretyakov Gallery, and then the Museum of Russian Art in Minneapolis and in the Art Museum in Seattle.
The exhibition runs till May, 14th.
