Federation Island to Appear in Black Sea

The group of companies “M-Industry” will start the construction of the artificial island “Federation” this summer.

The project “Island Federation” is a sea resort on the artificial archipelago that will be located in the water area of the Black Sea, near the city of Sochi.

The name came from the shape of the coastline, which is similar to the boundary contours of the Russian Federation.

Originally it was planned that the creation of the artificial territory in the Black Sea will begin in the 4th quarter of 2009, and will be completed in 2013.

The archipelago complex will contain residences, hotels, cultural and recreational facilities.
