This is the longest expedition (2100 km) that is annually held in Buryatia and Priangarie.

The first trip was organized in 2006 as a friendly race. Today “Baikal Trophy” is a famous tourist event, in which everyone can participate after the paying of the registration fee. This year applications for the participation were received from various Russian delegations representing such cities as Moscow , Yekaterinburg, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Irkutsk, Bratsk, Cheremkhovo, Kazakhstan and also from the UK and Germany.

The route of the expedition could probably become the longest ice road according to the Guinness Book of Records.
