Monument to Locomotive Team to Remind of a Bird

Competitive committee in Yaroslavl has selected the project of a monument to the hockey team Locomotive that tragically perished in the plane crash on September 7 last year.
As a result of the competition three works were in the final: in two sketches a figure of the hockey player was in the center of the memorial, and in the third there was a symbolical bird's wing combined of 37 hockey sticks for every deceased player of the team. From different angles the composition looks differently: it reminds of an eagle and a diving plane at once.
The monument is expected to be set up at the Arena-2000-Lokomotive on September 1 and be unveiled on September 7th - the tragic anniversary.
