3.10.2005 13:57

An enormous round-the-clock book centre Bukvoed/Bookworm will open on the Ploshchad Vosstania in St.-Petersburg tomorrow. Around $500 thousand have been invested to launch this large-scale project.
The total area of the centre exceeding 1000 square meters houses a book supermarket with over 60 thousand book titles, a stationary department, stalls for digital media and presents, a coffee-house, reading rooms, a cloak-room and a nursery.
Bukvoed on Vosstania will also have a screen for demonstration of cinema classics.
The book centre is to make the central place for events of the project Cultural Environment launched by the Bukvoed company in spring 2005. Meetings with writers as well as literature and music performances and concerts will be held regularly in the framework of this initiative in the centre.
