Ice Golf Tournament to be Held on Baikal

The 8th golf tournament will be held on the ice of Lake Baikal near the settlement of Listvyanka March 24-25, 2012.

The winter was snowy, and this would make possible to create many snow barriers, so the competition promise to be difficult and interesting.

The winner of the tournament will probably get a car or a trip to the world ice golf championship in Greenland, it all depends on sponsors.

About 30 people have already applied for participation in the tournament, including sportsmen from Irkutsk, Moscow and Tyumen. People with disabilities are also going to take part in the contest. The unique feature of this sporting event is that not only professionals but also beginners and experienced amateurs can participate in it.
