According to a survey conducted by J’Son & Partners Consulting, in 2011 Russia was ahead of Britain in providing broadband Internet access.
39% of Russian households have had broadband Internet - that is 21,7mln, one million more than in the UK. Obviously, the figures vary depending on a country's size and population. The first position is occupied by China: 155mln households have got broadband Internet access.
The survey projects a steady growth for broadband Internet access in Russia: 44% in 2012 and 57% by 2015.
