An earthquake in Acapulco resort in Mexico hasn't affected Russian tourists having a vacation in this country.
Tourists from Russia mainly visit the resorts of Cancun and Riviera Maya, located on the Caribbean coast, reports Interfax.
As the Russian travel agencies explained, Acapulco is not included in the program of group tours to Mexico. This resort is mostly popular among American tourists.
The earthquake of magnitude 7.4 occurred at 12:02 local time near the Acapulco resort on the Pacific coast.
According to the authorities, about five hundred houses were either destroyed or severely damaged. Power outages were observed in Chilpancingo, the capital and second-largest city of the state of Guerrero.
