SberBank of Russia plans to open up to 10 support centres for small businesses in the capital, the Moscow Government announces.
The city government sees this as an opportunity to develop a healthy competition by involving other banks in the support scheme, while also fostering the small business growth in the capital.
SberBank will spearhead the scheme that will see the bank offering consultancy, coaching, and crediting to existing and nascent small businesses. The city authorities hope that other banks, particularly big players like VTB, Alpha Bank, and the Bank of Moscow, get engaged in providing small businesses with opportunities for development and growth.
