 Moscow Sells Liberty Cosmetics Factory

The oldest Moscow cosmetics factory Svoboda (Liberty) was sold by the Moscow authorities at the auction on March 29.


49% shares owned by Moscow authorities were bought by OOO Estel for the starting price of 1 573 000 000 Rubles (about $ 54,2) , reports the press service of the Russian Auction House. There were three participants at the bid.


The cosmetics factory Svoboda was founded in 1843 by Moscow merchant Alfons Ralle. It was the first perfume factory in Russia. In the recent years Svoboda has been among leaders of perfume and cosmetics manufacturers in Russia. The factory produces soup, shampoo, tooth paste, cream and other products.
