On May 25, St. Petersburg will open the navigation of special water taxis - aquabuses - with new routes for them. City's Transportation Committee will make 20 moorings, where the buses are set to stop.
According to the Village news portal, Prigorodnaya line (between Lomonosov and Kronshtadt towns) will be abolished this year, but at the same time, a new city line will be added. Now the new route is being designed by the Transport Committee.
New water transportation season in St. Petersburg will see four assured aquabuses routes: Primorskaya line (between Staraya village and Arsenal embankment), Central line (between Sverdlovsk and University embankments),
Nevsky line (between Sverdlovsk embankment and Rybatsky avenue) and Kurortny line (between Arsenal embankment and Kronshtadt).
Tickets for the first three lines will cost 54 rubles ($1,8) for adults and 27 rubles ($1) for children. Passangers of the Kurortny line will have to pay 100 rubles ($3,4) for adults and 50 rubles ($1,7) for children.
St. Petersburg aquabuses will be working every day, starting from May 25, from 8 am till 8 pm (local time). Traffic intervals are about 10-15 minutes. Travel time from the first till the last waypoint will be about 45 minutes.
