India may get license for Kalashnikov machine guns
-101 and -102

Russia has offered India to acquire a license on production 100-series Kalashnikov machine gun, said Deputy General Director of the State Corporation “Russian Technologies” Nikolay Volobuev at Defexpo India 2012 in New Delhi on Friday.


100-series Kalashnikov machine guns are produced in Russia at the firearms plant OJSC "IZHMASH". The licensed Kalashnikov machine gun production has started in Venezuela.


At Defexpo India 2012 OJSC "IZHMASH" has presented its most demanded production in India and other countries, said the General Director of Science and Production Association "IZHMASH"; among them there are Kalashnikov machine guns -101, -102, -103, -104, Nikonov machine gun AN-94, sniper rifles SV-98, SVD and SVDS, submachine gun Bizon and Vityaz.


Defexpo India 2012, the seventh in the series of biennial Land, Naval and Internal Security Systems Exhibition, is being held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from March 29 to April 1, 2012.
