Famous White Tower in Yekaterinburg in Danger of Demolition

Yekaterinburg prosecutor's office reports about the planned demolition of the White Tower, which is a well-known architecture monument.
The prosecutors have notified about it Dmitry Vershinin, the head of Sverdlovsk Regional office of the Red Cross, which is now the user of the object.
Mr. Vershinin is quite concerned about the threat: the land around the monument is very attractive, but now it cannot be built up without having broken the architectural shape of the tower. Demolition of the object would allow to start the building of the site.
Dmitry Vershinin apprehends that he will be made responsible for the possible demolition of the object.
The famous White Tower - the former water tower in the Ordzhonikidzevsky District of Yekaterinburg - is an architectural monument of the constructivism epoch. Presently it is neglected.
