Russian Orthodox Church Denounces Pablo Picasso's Exhibition

A representative of Russian Orthodox Church - Metropolitan Tikhon of Novosibirsk and Berdsk has denounced Picassos exhibition of erotic engravings Temptation presently running in the Novosibirsk Museum of Local Lore.
      Metropolitan Tikhon expressed his discontent regarding the exhibition, having mentioned that this exhibition is banned around the world and it has not even been displayed in Moscow.
      Alexander Shchelyakov, the art director of the company Artgit that has organized Picasso's exhibition in Novosibirsk, has reported that nobody has ever forbidden the series of Picassos works Suite 347 presented in Novosibirsk since 1968, and that in Moscow the exhibition has not been displayed because the project was started from Krasnoyarsk.
