Black diggers have destroyed a unique altar on Demeter's antique sanctuary discovered by archeologists near the Vestnik farm in 2010.
The archeology fund that was carrying out excavation in Anapa has reported that a group of black diggers with metal detectors bypassed the excavation territory in search of values. While trying to move the top plate of the altar, the vandals broke it, thus having damaged the object of historical importance.
Black diggers made the first attempt last year, but then they only managed to shift the plate.
Demeter's antique temple is not a protected object, and thus it attracts dozens of black diggers trying to search for historical values in its territory.
