Authorities of Yeniseisk town in the Krasnoyarsk Region intend to open Russia's first ever museum of jack-planes.
The museum exposition will be based on the collection of the local pensioner Vitaly Islentev, who has managed to collect more than 750 jack-planes on his own means throughout his life. In 2011 this unique collection was awarded with the Gold Star of the Book of Records of Russia, followed by an invitation to be included in the next edition of the Guinness Book of Records.
Since Vitaly Islentev spends his pension almost entirely on expanding his original collection, the city authorities are now considering the issue of fund allocation for the entrance fee to the Guinness Book of Records. At the same time they are solving the task of finding the premise for the museum of jack-planes.
