Monument to Tumbler Toy to be Set up in Tambov Region

A monument to the tumbler toy, which is produced at the local gunpowder mill and has become the brand of the town, will be set up in Kotovsk town of the Tambov Region.

The head of city administration Alexey Plakhotnikov has reported about it. A bronze sculpture is planned to be fixed this year in the city center, at the crossroads of Sovietskaya and Svoboda Streets.

“Millions of tumbler toys have been produced in Kotovsk. These toys are known all around Russia. They have become a landmark of the town”, - Alexey Plakhotnikov said.
The project costs one million rubles; exact time of the monument installation has not been fixed yet. Large-scale celebrations are planned for 2015 in honor of the 100th anniversary of the gunpowder mill, the economic base of Kotovsk town.
