Moscow Zoo Now Works in Summer Regime

Famous Moscow Zoo has switched over to summer working conditions. Now it is open from 10 am to 8 pm (Moscow time).

Ticket offices stop working an hour before the zoo's closing - at 7 pm. After that hour the offices work only for exit. Moscow Zoo is open daily (except Mondays).

The Exoterrarium's ticket offices work from 11 am to 5:30 pm.

The zoo's working conditions usually change several times a year, according to changes in day length. Animals usually lay down with nightfall, and so the zoo is not illuminated at nights for their normal life activity.

The Moscow zoo has over 6000 animals representing about 1000 species and covers an area of about 21.5 hectares (53 acres).
