Ministry of Natural Resources to file a suit on TNK-BP for oil spill

Ministry of Natural Resources is to develop a claim for compensation from oil spill in the rivers of Ob and Yenisei to the third largest Russian private oil company TNK-BP, announced the Minister Yuriy Trutnev, reports RIA News.

According to Mr. Trutnev, 784 accidents leading to oil spills have happened through TNK-BP fault due to ill-conditioned pipe-lines. TNK-BP has enough funds to increase investments and bring pipe-lines in order for 5-7 years, added he.

As a result of Mr. Trutnev’s announcement TNK-BP stock market price has fallen.
