State Corporation to develop Siberia and Far East
a view of Siberia

Russian government is to create a State Corporation on Developing Siberia and Far East and to empower it with wide rights.

      
The corporation is to subordinate directly and solely to the Russia’s president; regional and federal authorities won’t be able to interfere into its activities.

      
According the draft law, worked out by the Ministry of Economic development, the corporation will be audited only by the Court of Accounts.At that the corporation itself will be able to interfere into the work of state monopolies, such as Gazprom and Transneft. By the moment none of state corporations in Russia has such rights.

      
The new corporation may not follow some state laws. The structure will be able to get the right of usage of mineral and
      
forest recourses without holding a tender.
